The front of the MSS280 has one button and eight disk drive activity lights.
There are eight disk drive bays (DISK 1 – DISK 8), numbered 1 through 8, left to right behind the removable cover over the bottom half of the MSS280. These drives are hot-swappable meaning in the unlikely event one of them fails (indicated by the corresponding activity light not being illuminated), you can remove and replace it while the MSS280 is operating.
